A surveying crew found what is believed to be a human skull in the southwest suburbs Thursday.
According to the Joliet Herald-News, the skull was found under a bridge on Rowell Avenue about a half-mile south of Arsenal Road near Elwood in unincorporated Jackson Township.
It was was located on the south side of the water, Will County Sheriff Paul Kaupas said.
Police closed the road and searched the area Thursday night, and continued searching cadaver dogs Friday morning.
