Hundreds of mourners gathered Friday to pay their respects to a Chicago police officer killed in the line of duty. NBC 5’s Charlie Wojciechowski reports.
As the funeral procession for Officer Eduardo Marmolejo made its way toward the church for his service Saturday, the family of Officer Conrad Gary paid tribute to him in a touching scene.
During the procession, Officer Gary's family stood along the street to pay tribute to his fellow officer:
Both officers were killed on Monday while investigating a call of shots fired on the city's South Side. Officer Gary's funeral took place on Friday morning, and Officer Marmolejo's funeral will take place Saturday at St. Rita's of Cascia.
