Hot Dog Deep Dish Pizza Dished Out for National Hot Dog Month At Wrigley Field

Thursday marks the celebration of the hot dog--especially the Chicago style dog

Take me out to the ball game—but instead of peanuts and cracker jacks make that a stuffed hot dog deep dish pizza.

Giordano’s and Vienna Beef are teaming up to have the specialty pizza exclusively at Wrigley Field from July 15-20 in honor of National Hot Dog month.

“We feel so honored to be the exclusive pizza partner of the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field,” Yorgo Koutsogiorgas, president and CEO of Giordano’s, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to have out-of-the-box partners like Vienna Beef in our company at Wrigley Field, who were willing to make a delicious and never before experienced dish with us. We hope everyone enjoys this unique creation while cheering for the Chicago Cubs.”

The creation features Vienna Beef hot dogs baked inside Giordano’s stuffed deep dish pizza topped off with the signature pizza sauce and yellow mustard. The popular Chicago-style dog condiments such as a mixed relish of chopped tomatoes, onions, pickles and sport peppers are also included.

“Vienna Beef appreciates the partnership between Chicago’s Hot Dog, Giordano’s Pizza, and the Chicago Cubs,” James P. Bodman, CEO of Vienna Beef, said in a statement. “We trust this new food experience within the Friendly Confines will be delicious.”

Giordano's and Vienna Beef are both Chicago-based companies.

The deep dish pizza is available at six Chicago Cubs home games for $10.
