Home Explosion Prompts Multi-Department Response in Libertyville

Crews are on the scene after a house explosion in Libertyville. NBC 5’s Ash-Har Quraishi has all the latest on the blast, and its aftermath.
A home exploded in north suburban Libertyville Wednesday amid severe weather and area flooding, the Lake County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
Firefighters from several departments responded to the 1700 block of Sunnyview Road about 2:38 p.m. where the home "sustained major structural damage."
The sheriff's office said residents in the area were allowed to return to their home.
Westbount Route 137 was open and eastbound was reduced to one lane
No injuries were reported and explosion remained under investigation.

This is our backyard in Grayslake. Behind the fence is completely flooded up to my knees. Half our subdivision (Oakwood) is flooded & impassable. We sandbagged our window well to hopefully keep it out of the finished basement. Many neighbors pumping water out as their sump pumps couldn't keep up. Could you PLEASE turn off the sky so we can dry out?
