Multi-Million-Dollar Dining Pavilion Planned For Woodfield Mall

Woodfield Mall has released renderings of its planned multimillion-dollar dining pavilion.

The “sleek” pavilion will be located in the upper level Sears wing with floor-to-ceiling glass providing natural light and an outdoor view, according to a news release.

“We’re excited to begin construction on our new dining pavilion as part of an ongoing commitment to provide local residents and Chicago-area visitors with the best possible shopping experience,” said Kurt Webb, General Manager at Woodfield Mall.

The project will include 820-seat dining area, which will feature more than a dozen new fast-casual eateries, the release says.

The addition of the dining pavilion marks the next phase in Woodfield’s ongoing style evolution, the release says, which kicked off in January 2015. The center now features a contemporary, open-concept “Grand Court.” New seating areas and aesthetically appealing cosmetic finishes, the release says, such as new carpeting and ceramic tile, have been added.

Construction is scheduled to be completed prior to fall 2018.
