Medinah to Host 2019 BMW Championship

Approximately 200 of the 600 Medinah members voted Saturday to host the 2019 BMW Championship

The PGA tour has found a new home for an old friend in Chicago.

According to club sources, approximately 200 of the 600 Medinah members voted Saturday to host the 2019 BMW Championship, the third event of the Fed-Ex Playoffs which hosts the top seventy players.

After BMW Championship is be played at Conway Farms this year, it moves to Crooked Stick in Indianapolis in 2016, and is expected to return to Lake Forest (Conway Farms) in 2017.Philadelphia's Aronimink will host in 2018 the year preceding Medinah according to club sources.

Medinah Country Club is 22 miles west of Chicago.

The club hosted three Western Opens before the sponsorship changed its name to the BMW Championship, and has played host to three U.S. Opens, two PGA Championships and most recently the 2012 Ryder Cup.
