A man is dead after being struck by a semi-truck on I-55 in suburban Burr Ridge Sunday night.
Officials believe the man was trying to cross the northbound lanes of the interstate near County Line Road when just after 9:45 p.m. when he was hit by the truck.
The man was dead when police arrived at the scene soon after.
Investigators are still gathering details on the deadly accident.
