A man wanted for the sex trafficking of a 15-year-old girl was arrested at his northwest suburban Streamwood home Friday.
Derrick Hill, 41, was taken into custody by Streamwood police on a $1.5 million arrest warrant for involuntary sexual servitude of a minor, according to a statement from the Cook County sheriff’s office.
The warrant had been issued on Oct. 7 after an investigation by the sheriff’s Vice Unit that began in January, the sheriff’s office said.
Hill arranged and profited from “dates” on Backpage.com where the girl would perform sex acts for money, according to the sheriff’s office. He also rented the hotel rooms where the acts occurred.
Hill also had an outstanding warrant for a traffic violation, the sheriff’s office said.
