Loyola Star Signs With Chicago Bulls

Ingram averaged 11 points and 6.4 rebounds per game

The Loyola Ramblers returned home after an incredible tournament run, and NBC 5’s Chris Hush was on campus as the team came back.

One of the key contributors to Loyola’s incredible Final Four run will pursue his NBA dreams in the Windy City.

Forward Donte Ingram, who averaged 11 points and 6.4 rebounds per game this season, inked a free agent deal with the Bulls after the NBA Draft. He will play for the team’s Summer League squad in Las Vegas in July, according to the Bulls.

“I am very excited for this opportunity to play for my hometown team,” the Chicago-native said in a statement. “Without Coach Moser and the great staff at Loyola that has helped me improve each year, I wouldn’t be in this position today.”

Ingram made a name for himself in the NCAA tournament with his long three-pointer that lifted the Ramblers over Miami in the first round. The Ramblers ultimately made it all the way to the Final Four, where they lost to Michigan.

Ingram and the Bulls will be on the court in Las Vegas July 7 to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in their first Summer League game.
