Lightfoot Cancels CPS Classes Thursday, Puts Blames on CTU

“There will not be school tomorrow,” Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot said Wednesday morning. “The union has been crystal clear that they are going to strike.” Both sides remain at odds over issues like class sizes, staffing shortages and security of students in areas surrounding schools.
