A member of the Jesse White Tumblers was shot and killed Thursday night.
Police say 16-year-old Devonshay Lofton was standing on a sidewalk in the 1300 block of North Cleveland when two individuals riding on a bike opened fire.
Lofton first joined the Tumblers seven years ago.
"I just really want justice for my son, that's all," the victim's mother, DeShawn Lofton, said at a Friday night vigil.
Secretary of State Jesse White says Devonshay was a good kid who didn't get into trouble.
No arrests have been made in the case.
A police officer who was responding to the shooting was getting out of his vehicle when his gun discharged and the bullet struck him in the foot, police said.
