Jackson Calls for “Radical Reconstruction” to Fight Violence

The Rev. Jesse Jackson on Monday blamed closed schools and hospitals, in part, for the violence that pervades America’s cities, including Chicago. He called on the White House to put forth a “comprehensive urban policy” and a “revised war on poverty” to alleviate crime.
