How to Watch the 2018 World Cup on Telemundo

The world’s biggest sporting event, the 2018 World Cup in Russia kicks off this Thursday and we’ve got the best way to stay on top of all of the action. NBC 5’s Charlie Wojciechowski has the details.

The World Cup is getting ready to kick off in Russia this week, and soccer fans in the United States will be able to catch all of the action live on Telemundo and Universo.

The tournament will get underway on June 14, when Russia battles Saudi Arabia in the opening match. A complete schedule for the tournament can be found here.

A total of 56 matches will air live on Telemundo, which can be found on the following channels in Chicago:

Comcast/XFINITY: Channel 193

DirecTV: Channel 44

Dish Network: Channel 44

 All 64 matches will be aired on either Telemundo or Universo. 

Telemundo will be sending 32 journalists to cover the event, and the network will dedicate 1500 hours of coverage to the event on all platforms. The 2018 event marks the first time that Telemundo will air the spectacle from Russia. 

Matches will also be available to stream on the Telemundo Chicago app, or on the NBC Sports app during the tournament.
