The victim of a hit-and-run on the city's West Side has died 10 days after the crash.

Darryl Lincoln, 54, a volunteer for Chicago's Catholic Charities, was on life support since the Jan. 9 incident. Police said Lincoln was walking south on Francisco Avenue that day when a minivan struck him at Jackson Boulevard.

Police say the minivan fled west on Jackson Boulevard after the crash. Authorities believe the dark-colored van might be a Chrysler model.

Police are still looking for the vehicle and its driver.

Lincoln was pronounced dead after 4 p.m. Thursday at Rush University Medical Center.
