Four women were shot -- two of them multiple times and left critically wounded -- outside a party in West Side Garfield Park early Sunday, and police are still searching for the gunmen responsible.
At 1:15 a.m., multiple gunmen in a black Cadillac opened fire, hitting four women in their 20's outside a party in the 600 block of North St. Louis Avenue after a fight broke out, said Harrison District Police Capt. Roger Bay.
A 23-year-old was shot in the thigh and back and a 20-year-old was shot in the thighs, stomach and hip, Bay said. They were both taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where they are listed in guarded condition.
Two other 20-year-old women were shot -- one with a graze wound to the left thigh and one in the back of the neck, Bay said. They were treated and released at Norwegian-American Hospital.
The Cadillac was last seen going west, according to a police News Affairs release.
A motive were not immediately known, Bay said.
No one is in custody as Harrison Area detectives continue to investigate.
