Driver Arrested For Damaging Maggie Daley Park Mini Golf Course

The driver, Wesley Mickens, 33, allegedly damaged multiple holes on the mini-golf course

A 33-year-old south suburban Lansing man was arrested Friday morning after driving his car through Chicago's Maggie Daley Park, damaging its mini golf course, police said.

At approximately 2:28 a.m. Friday, security officers asked the driver of a black sedan to leave the park. The offender, identified as Wesley Mickens, 33, then drove through the park, damaging multiple holes on the mini golf course, police said.

Mickens was taken into custody after hitting a fence with his vehicle. He was charged with felony criminal damage to government property, driving under the influence and leaving the scene.
