‘We Are Indebted': Dixon Chief Credits Officer for Stopping Dixon High School Shooter

A school resource officer at Dixon High School is being hailed as a hero after stopping a former student who entered the school with a gun. Dixon Police Chief Steve Howell detailed what happened to reporters. Howell said there were no injuries to students because of the officer’s quick response.
