Just before morning rush hour, Divvy Bikes in Chicago reported its system was down, impacting both members and those looking to buy passes.
Divvy tweeted about the "system alert" around 5 a.m., saying an overnight update was causing a few glitches on its app.
"We are working on it," the organization wrote.
Soon after, Divvy reported the update was "taking longer than anticipated."
"This may be impacting both members and those wishing to buy passes," the tweet read. "We will update with more info or when it is back on."
There had been no updates on whether the system was back on as of 7 a.m.
