Though Jeremy Ray Taylor’s characters may be portrayed as afraid and anxious in scary movies like ‘It’ and ‘Are You Afraid of the Dark?’, the actor spends his real life talking to people on how to prevent negative emotions by building a more positive and safe climate in their schools and communities. Working with the organization Safe and Sound Schools, Taylor, along with the band Chasing da Vinci and the organization’s co-founders Michele Gay and Alissa Parker, will visit three high schools who win the “Good Days” tour campaign and contest. The tour will bring an entire day’s worth of activities meant to promote the organization’s message of making your community a more positive and less stressful place.
The Chicago Bears are still in need of wide receivers, and one of the league’s highest profile pass catchers is reportedly hitting the open market.
According to multiple reports, the Dallas Cowboys are planning to cut wide receiver Dez Bryant, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Some reports indicated that the Cowboys wanted Bryant to take a paycut and to restructure his contract, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter says that a pay cut was not offered to him during the negotiating process.
Bryant, who was slated to make $12.5 million this season, caught 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns last season, but his production has been taking a bit of a dip since he hit a career high in yards and touchdowns in 2014 with the Cowboys.
Meanwhile, the Bears are on the lookout for more help at the position after deciding not to match an offer sheet on wide receiver Cameron Meredith earlier this week. They did sign Allen Robinson earlier this offseason, but with health questions surrounding him and fellow wide out Kevin White, they could potentially look to the draft or free agency for more weapons for quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.
The team has plenty of cap space to make the contract happen, but there will likely be plenty of bidders as teams look to shore up their receiver corps ahead of mini-camps and the NFL Draft.
