Cook County Gets New Environmental Chief

Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle has tapped Deborah Stone as the new head of the Department of Environmental Control and the Chief Sustainability Officer. She’ll be tasked with reducing the county’s environmental footprint, saving fuel and energy, minimizing waste and implementing green practices.
