Opening Statements Begin in Patrick Daley Thompson Trial

Patrick Daley Thompson’s attorneys say the grandson of Richard J. Daley was unaware there were problems with a series of loans from the now defunct Washington Federal Savings of Bridgeport. But prosecutors say Thompson, who is a real estate attorney, used documents from that small bank to lie to the IRS. NBC 5’s Charlie Wojciechowski reports.
