The Buzz: Jan Schakowsky, a member of the Progressive Caucus, is running for re-election as representative for the 9th Congressional District of Illinois. She was originally elected in 1998, and has since stressed issues involving health care reform, women's issues, consumer protection and getting the troops out of Iraq. In her off time, Schakowsky takes Spanish lessons in her office.
