Chicago Police Say 2 More Victims Robbed of Canada Goose Jackets

The robberies occurred in the city's Chinatown neighborhood, police say

Chicago police say that two more people were robbed in the city’s Chinatown neighborhood, and they believe the victims were targeted because they were wearing Canada Goose jackets.

According to authorities in the city’s 1st Police District, the offenders in both thefts were seen possibly driving a white Mercedes Benz as they fled the scene, and asked residents to be aware of their surroundings.

The new reports come just days after a similar alert was issued over thefts across the city. Police say that at least six other robberies have taken place, with the victims being targeted because they were wearing the distinctive coats.

Each Canada Goose jacket, which has a distinctive patch on the sleeve, can retail for around $1,000.

In those previous robberies, a dark-colored Audi was used as a getaway vehicle.
