Missing Chicago Fire Department Dog ‘Burny' Found

“Burny” the firehouse dog was found in Chicago's Auburn Gresham area

A dog living at a Chicago Fire Department firehouse that was reported missing Friday evening was found safe, CFD officials said on Twitter Saturday evening.

“Burny” the firehouse dog went missing about 6 p.m. Friday from the Engine 84 station, 21 W. 59th St. in the city's Englewood neighborhood. He was found in the city's Auburn Gresham area.

The black Lab is 7-years-old and has lived at the Engine 84 firehouse his whole life, officials said, noting that the “missing firehouse brother” was a reliable morale booster and stress reliever at the station.
