Chicago Bulls Agree to Re-Worked Deal With Jim Boylen, Reports Say

The deal will bump up Boylen's salary, keep him in Chicago through 2020

In a move sure to stir strong feelings among Chicago Bulls fans, the team has reportedly agreed to a reworked deal with head coach Jim Boylen.

Boylen, who currently has a 5-13 record with the team since taking over for Fred Hoiberg earlier this season, will get a pay bump on his contract, and the deal will still keep him in Chicago through the end of the 2019-20 season, according to the Chicago Sun-Times and the Athletic.

Boylen’s tenure has been marked by several big controversies, including the decision to take Jabari Parker out of the rotation, and well-publicized pushback from players over the way the coach conducted practices.
