Bobby Portis to Miss Several Games Due to Ankle Injury

Portis suffered an ankle injury in Chicago's loss to the Nets

Yet another Chicago Bulls player has gone down due to injury, as Bobby Portis will be on the shelf after spraining his right ankle on Wednesday night.

According to the team, Portis will miss the next two-to-four weeks with the injury, which he suffered in the Bulls’ loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.

Portis had only just returned from an injury that cost him the early part of the season, appearing in a total of nine games and averaging 11.9 points and eight rebounds per game.

The Bulls are already without star Zach LaVine, who is also out of action with an ankle sprain. Earlier this season, forward Lauri Markkanen and point guard Kris Dunn both missed extended time due to injuries, adding to what has been a dismal season thus far for the Bulls.

Chicago will be back in action on Friday night when they take on the Orlando Magic.
