Chicago Bears Linebacker Roquan Smith Remains Without Rookie Contract

Smith is now one of two first round picks who haven't signed with their teams

Chicago Bears linebacker Roquan Smith still has not agreed to a rookie contract, and he’s part of an ever-diminishing group of youngsters who have yet to do so.

According to the Cleveland Browns, they have now signed quarterback Baker Mayfield, the first overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft, and cornerback Denzel Ward, the fourth overall pick, to contracts, leaving just two first round picks who have not signed deals with their respective teams.

The Buffalo Bills also signed quarterback Josh Allen to a deal, leaving just Smith and New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold on the list of those who haven’t signed.
