Khalil Mack to Miss Pro Bowl Due to Injury

Mack had 12.5 sacks in his first season with the Bears

Chicago Bears superstar Khalil Mack will not participate in this year’s Pro Bowl due to an injury, according to a press release issued by the New York Giants.

Mack, who led the Bears with 12.5 sacks this season. Will be replaced by Giants linebacker Olivier Vernon.

The selection to the Pro Bowl is the first of Vernon’s career.

The Bears still have at least four other Pro Bowlers slated to head to the game, including cornerback Kyle Fuller, defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, and safety Eddie Jackson. Running back Tarik Cohen is also heading to the game as a return specialist.

The Pro Bowl will take place on Jan. 27, and will be contested in Orlando.
