The search is on for who fired shots on the Stevenson Expressway. NBC Chicago’s Charlie Wojciechowski reports.
A woman’s car was struck by a bullet early Friday while she was driving on the Stevenson Expressway (I-55) on the South Side.
The car was shot at about 1:15 a.m. on the ramp from southbound Lake Shore Drive to the outbound Stevenson, Illinois State Police Trooper Julian Torres said.
One round struck the car, Torres said. The woman, who was the only occupant, was not injured.
Police do not know where the shot was fired from, but they are investigating the incident.
