Bomb Squad Investigates Suspicious Object in the Loop

The Chicago Police Bomb Squad investigated a suspicious object near a federal building in the Loop Sunday morning. 

Authorities responded to a 'suspicious object' outside near a statue in the 200 block of S. Dearborn around 9:30 a.m., according to the Chicago Police Department.

Northbound traffic on Dearborn was diverted at Jackson until streets reopened at around 12 p.m., police said. CTA Blue Line service was halted between Grand and UIC-Halsted, but resumed with delays shortly before 12 p.m., according to the CTA.
