Unhappy Ending

Massage parlor owner arrested in prostitution sting

Like most people who run a business, Kristy Chin wants her customers to walk away satisfied.

But little did she know, the man who walked into her massage parlor wasn't looking for the happy ending police say she was offering.

He was an undercover cop, but this wasn't his first time inside the Therapy Spa at 334 W. Peterson Ave. Spurred on by complaints from neighbors, the sheriff's office was in the midst of a sting operation, repeatedly returning to the spa, trying to gain the proprietor's trust.

And it worked, according to charges filed against 37-year-old Chin. After the cop became a repeat client, authorities say she offered to perform a sex act on him, and was promptly arrested.

She was charged with prostitution, keeping a place of prostitution and performing a massage without a license.  She's due in court April 30 in Skokie.
