Thieves Snatch Jewelry From North Side Sears

Chicago Police News Affairs said the thieves smashed two glass side doors around 3:17 a.m.

Thieves made away with rings, jewelry and precious metals early Tuesday from a Northwest Side Sears store, police said.

Chicago Police News Affairs said the thieves smashed two glass side doors around 3:17 a.m. to gain access into the store at 4730 W. Irving Park Road.

The unidentified offender then smashed display cases inside and escaped with an unknown amount of jewelry.

No one was in custody Tuesday morning.
