Cubs Set Lineup for Game 2 of NLCS vs. Mets

The Chicago Cubs look to tie up the NLCS against the New York Mets on Sunday night, and they’ll do so with a slightly different lineup.

The big change comes in the sixth spot in the order, with Chris Coghlan slotting in as the right fielder and Jorge Soler taking a seat for the start of the game. Soler, who has struggled with playing in cold weather during his brief MLB career, would obviously still be available as a pinch-hitter later in the game, but Coghlan gives the team a better defensive presence to start the contest with.

The Cubs will also bring Miguel Montero back into the lineup after David Ross caught for Jon Lester in Game 1. Montero will bat seventh, and Javier Baez will slide down to the eighth spot in the order.

Here is the full lineup as the Cubs look to best Noah Syndergaard and the Mets:

1 Dexter Fowler - CF
2 Kyle Schwarber - LF
3 Kris Bryant - 3B
4 Anthony Rizzo - 1B
5 Starlin Castro - 2B
6 Chris Coghlan - RF
7 Miguel Montero - C
8 Javier Baez - SS
9 Jake Arrieta - P

First pitch in the game is scheduled for 7:07 p.m. Central Time, and it will air on TBS.
