Instead, Buell's four tickets will be going to wounded veterans.
Buell's decision to give away the tickets was a "no-brainer," he told the Chicago Tribune.
Buell has been working with Gov. Pat Quinn to select the most deserving veterans, and a spokesman says Quinn followed suit by buying two tickets with his own money and donating them.
In all, four Marines and two Army veterans will get the tickets.
One of them is Marine Sgt. Dave Jelinek of Downers Grove, who served three tours in the Middle East and was hit in the thigh by a grenade in Fallujah.
