400-Gallon Tank Leaking Sulfuric Acid at Fermilab

A 400-gallon tank with sulfuric acid is slowly leaking at the Fermilab National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, officials said. 

According to the company, an employee noticed the leak and informed the Femilab Fire Department. Fire departments from around the area were also called to the scene to help contain the leak. 

No injuries were immediately reported. 

The tank is located in the Fermilab Central Utility Building, authorities said, adding there was "no risk to neighbors."
