4 in Custody After Police Chase Vehicle from Chicago to Elmhurst

Four people are in custody after a police chase that began on Chicago’s West Side ended in suburban Elmhurst. NBC 5’s Regina Waldroup reports.

Four men are in custody after firing shots from a vehicle on the West Side of Chicago and leading officers on a car chase that ended on foot in suburban Elmhurst.

Late Friday night, Chicago Police officers observed offenders in a vehicle in the 3800 block of W. Madison shooting at another vehicle. Officers pursued the suspects on I-290 until losing sight of the vehicle.

Later, the Illinois State Police observed the same vehicle entering west suburban Elmhurst, where four men proceeded to flee on foot. State and Elmhurst police officers pursued and apprehended the men, who remain in custody with charges pending. Two weapons were also recovered.
