17-Year-Old Shot in the Head at Logan Square Club

This is the first shooting at the club, which used to be called OK Corral

A 17-year-old boy was shot dead inside a Logan Square nightclub early Thursday.

Ramiro Guevara was shot in the head at the Vlive nightclub, near Milwaukee and Armitage, after an argument with another male went sour, Police News Affairs Spokesman Hector Aflaro told the Sun-Times

“There was a fight that resulted in a shooting. One person is dead on the scene,” according to a Shakespeare District police lieutenant.

The shooter fled the nightclub, and no one was in custody this morning, Alfaro said. No one else was injured.

VLive is a 21 and over club above the Fuego Mexican Grill and Margarita Bar, but a unidentified doorman told the Sun-Times that the age restriction is lowered to 18 when there is a concert at the club. Underage clubbers are issued wristbands.

A source told the Chicago Tribune that the club allowed patrons under 21 to enter the club but were provided wristbands that barred them from drinking. The teen was wearing a wristband, the source said.

This is the first shooting at the club, which used to be called OK Corral.

VLive made news earlier this year when Rod Blagojevich fundraiser Christopher Kelly committed suicide. Kelly allegedly gave money to  his former girlfriend, who worked there, to invest in the club.
