Foster Care Program Keeps Siblings Together

According to Tim McCormick, CEO of SOS Children’s Villages Illinois, 75% of siblings typically get separated when entering the foster care system in the US. SOS Children’s Village Illinois takes a unique approach to foster care. Their model keeps brothers and sisters together in individual homes with a full-time foster parent. Across the country, only 47% of children in foster care graduate high school. In the past 9 years, SOS Children’s Village Illinois has had a 100% graduation rate and provides support for all children who want to fulfill their college dreams.
