Loaded Gun Confiscated From Island Lake Student

A middle school in Island Lake was locked down for about three hours Monday after police said a student brought a loaded gun into the building. No one was injured during the incident at Matthews Middle School, police said. The gun was confiscated and the student was taken into custody. The entire school was searched during the lockdown with nothing further being found.
