Who's Who at the Revamped NoMI Kitchen

After a lengthy hiatus (four months!), Michelin-rated restaurant NoMI returned to the scene earlier this summer under new moniker, NoMI Kitchen. The Chihulys and white table cloths are gone, but the majority of the staff came back for the reincarnation—including newly appointed executive chef, Ryan LaRoche. He says, "We have an amazing team here. It was challenging in the way we were trying to change something they were so used to, but they were very receptive to the new concept."

The re-opening also marks a reunion for three staff members: LaRoche, Executive Pastry Chef Meg Galus, and Chef de Cuisine Sean Pharr, who all worked together at Tru four years ago. Based on their past together, LaRoche says it was a no brainer tapping Galus and Pharr for the new team. Fun fact: LaRoche's nickname for Galus is "Megatron" which goes back to their days at Tru.

Meet Galus, Pharr, and the rest of the staff behind NoMI Kitchen in this week's Class Photo. [The Feast]
