Pregnant Postal Worker Missing From South Side For Nearly 1 Week

Police were back at Coles' home looking for clues Tuesday as her family and friends passed out fliers.

Kierra Coles is three months pregnant. The postal worker has been missing for almost a week. NBC 5’s Regina Waldroup reports.

So far there are few clues in the disappearance. Her mother says Coles' excited about becoming a new mom and loves her job and her family.

Now, Karen Phillips is pleading with the public to help her find her daughter.

Hours later the 26 year old was reported missing by her family.

"I'm too scared to feel anything," Phillips said. "I don't want to fear the worst."

Phillips says she talks to her daughter everyday, but last week she got worried after not hearing from her.

Phillips says everything was in place in Coles' home in the 81 block of Vernon, her car is still parked on the street. Inside police found her purse and cell phone.

"It's just not like her to do something like this," Phillips said.

"I want to see if she’s pregnant with a boy or girl," she said.

Phillips says the bond she has with her daughter is hard to describe.

"We talked about every single thing," she said.

She says life wont be the same for her until her daughter comes home.

"It's just sickening to wake up and not hear nothing," she said.
