Fulton Market hotspot Lumen recently unveiled Burn Out Wednesdays, which has rapidly become the place to be on hump day. For this week's installment of the high-style dance party on Wednesday, April 22, a.k.a. Earth Day, the eco-friendly lounge, which boasts low power consumption LED lighting and sustainable furnishings, will raise temperatures -- in a good way.
The "Earth Dance" party, which starts at 10PM, will feature a performance by local hot shots Hey Champ, who recently returned from "The Cool" tour with Chicago hip-hop star Lupe Fiasco. The three-piece band will be on hand to mix their favorite songs back-to-back with DJ Avi Sic, a local producer and DJ known for blending hip-hop, electro and ghetto tech. This is one Earth Day event that will get its eco-aware message across with of-the-moment music and chic surroundings -- and all with no cover.
