Palos Community Hospital Uses Hi Tech UV Machine To Kill Germs

Art Norman and Charlie Wojciechowski intoduce us to two officials from Palos Community Hospital which has been recognized as one of the best germ free hospitals in the nation. It’s because they use Tru-D Smart UV Room Disinfection Machine. It’s a vertical machine rimmed with high powered ultra violet lights. So high powered that humans cannot be in the room when it is at full power. Officials turn it on via smart phone or iPad. Palos uses these machines to routinely clean operating rooms after surgeries, rooms where patients with infections have been in isolation and more. It doesn’t replace regular cleaning, but it kills pretty much any germs that remain behind after standard cleaning methods.
