E2 Stampede Remembered Six Years Later

A balloon release Tuesday evening will honor the victims who died six years ago, on Feb. 17, 2003, during a stampede of patrons rushing the exits.

Epitome Chicago and its upstairs dancefloor, E2, have been closed since the incident that left 21 dead and more than 50 injured.

The balloon release will be held at 6:30 p.m. outside the club, at 2347 S. Michigan Ave.
