Dog Days of Summer

It's a doggone world. Literally.

While the weather may not feel like it, the dog days of summer are most certainly here. Everywhere you look, there are dog-focused events for you and your beloved pet. We already told you about the weekly Wednesday Happy Hours at Joe's Bar.   Here are three more pet-centric events to look forward to in the weeks to come:

Saturday, June 13: Woof-Top Party and Adopt-a-Thon at the Anti-Cruelty Society.  From noon to 4 p.m., enjoy refreshments, dog and human games, raffles, pet intuitive Denise Zak, a doggie masseuse and more. The event takes place on the upper levels of The Society's parking garage at 169 W. Grand Ave, Chicago. $20 Adults, $5 for Children.  The Adopt-a-Thon is free and located in the adoption center at 510 N. LaSalle St.  312-644-8338

Saturday, June 20- Saturday, June 27:  Shoppers are encouraged to bring their favorite four-legged friend to Wicker Park's dress boutique le Dress to receive treats and check out the swankiest pet couture, including handmade doggie dresses during their “Pets in Paris” week.  CUTE.  A percentage of proceeds from purchased le Dress private label dresses as well as the doggie dresses will benefit PAWS Chicago.
