Massive ‘Day of the Dead' Mural Turns Heads in Little Village

A massive, new mural is turning heads in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood. Finishing touches are being put on the “Day of the Dead” mural on the corner of 26th and Lawndale. The bright colors wrap around the Nuevo Leon restaurant. It is meant to honor the neighborhood and celebrate the Day of the Dead in early November. The work, commissioned by AARP, is a continuation of a project the artist did last year, which wrapped around one of the CTA Pink Line trains.
