All aboard the party train this Saturday, June 6 for a day-long excursion between Durty Nellie's, a popular neighborhood hangout in Palatine, and Duke's Alehouse and Kitchen, a well-frequented drinking destination in Crystal Lake. All together now: Whoo hoo!
The journey through the northwestern suburbs begins at Durty Nellie's at 1:30PM with beachy cocktail specials, beers and small bites to fuel the fun. Travelers will then board the train at the nearby Metra stop, taking the 2:24PM route to Crystal Lake, enjoying Caribbean tunes and treats along the way. (Try that on the rush hour express come Monday morning.)
Upon arrival at Duke's Alehouse around 3PM, intrepid revelers will find a full-blown summer barbecue in full swing, complete with mini burgers, brats and beers on hand. But make it snappy: You've got a train to catch back to Durty Nellie's at 4PM sharp.
You'll be deposited back where you started at approximately 4:30PM, where the whirlwind adventure can continue to your liking. (Be sure to keep a travelogue to include in your memoirs.) The cost for your excursion is $35 per person, which includes transportation, appetizers and select drinks at both destinations. Call 847-358-9150 to book your reservation.
