The calendar may say November, but this week has felt anything like typical Chicago weather. Don't be fooled. Colder days are ahead, which means it's time to start thinking about hitting the slopes.
This weekend's Skidazzle Chicago Ski Show and Snowboard Expo is a good opportunity to figure out whether this is the year you finally learn to ski or snowboard, or for veterans to get ready for the season.
The show will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Friday through Sunday.
Organizers are promising bargains on more than $1 million worth of brand-name ski and snowboard equipment in 100,000 square feet of exhibit space.
Exhibitors will offer exclusive specials on more than 100 winter vacation resorts in Canada, California, Utah, Colorado and all of the other major spots for snow boarding and skiing.
