Get Lit in Printer's Row

Runs June 6-7, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

If you've ever wanted to explore Chicago’s literary universe, but haven't found the time, this is the weekend for you.

The Chicago Tribune Printer’s Row Lit Fest is this weekend, and it’s all free. It’s a great family-friendly festival that explores the love of the printed page.

There are authors’ readings, cooking demonstrations, poetry, music and food. And, of course, books.  Lots and lots of books.  Chicago is a Mecca of great publishers, and this is the place to explore them all.

While we at NBCChicago.com live our lives on the Web, we know there’s still nothing like finding a great read to help you discover something new or escape from the world of Tweets, IMs, text messages and e-mails for a while.

Go ahead, impress your friends.  Read a book!

The Printer's Row Lit Fest is this Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dearborn between Congress and Polk.  Click here for a complete schedule.
