If the Chicago Blackhawks manage to get one of the top three picks in the NHL Draft, their fans will have to wait a bit longer to find out exactly what selection they got.
In a press release issued on Thursday, the NHL revealed that picks four through 15 in the draft will be revealed during a special show beginning at 6:30 p.m.
If the Blackhawks get into the top three however, fans will have to wait until the second intermission of a game between the Vegas Golden Knights and San Jose Sharks to find out which of the selections the team received.
Currently, the Blackhawks have the seventh-best odds of getting the first overall pick, with a 6.5 percent chance of getting the selection.
The team also has a slightly better than 20 percent chance of getting into the top three, according to the league.
The NHL Draft Lottery special will air at 6:30 p.m. on NBC 5 Chicago, and the reveal of the picks will occur during the second period of the Vegas-San Jose game, which begins at 7 p.m.
